So, by now, I’m sure you’ve heard of the brand spankin’ new iLife ‘08 update from Apple that promises to be the biggest update since the birth of iLife. And, at first, it sure does look that way. But then I got into thinking - that fancy new iMovie, being so simplistic and all, does it over-simplify things? iMovie ‘06 is one of my “gotta-have” apps that there really is no alternative for, Mac or PC. But sure, iMovie ‘08 looks all dandy on the outside, but is it as powerful as it’s predecessor? Can I extract auto, merge clips, split clips, change the volume for certain parts of the clips, and beyond as I could with iMovie ‘06?
